Twice a week, most weeks.

Every membership is under the R10 a credit you pay per class: R9.50 on Lite down to R8.90 on Max.

No cap on where you go: no plan limits how often you visit one studio.

Pay per class, from R100

No membership, no wallet. Most classes are R200 to R300, and it is the same seat a member gets. Pay by card or Apple Pay.

Prices include VAT and there is no joining fee. Unused credits roll over for one month; your balance is capped at two months’ worth and the oldest credits are spent first. Cancel any time: your membership runs to the end of the month you have paid for. Exact credit costs are set per class by each studio and always shown before you book.

What a class costs

The number on the class is what you pay.

One credit is R10, so every class carries both numbers. Each studio sets what its own classes cost and can price a busy Friday evening differently from a quiet Tuesday morning. What hoppir never does is add a surge multiplier or a booking fee of its own. The exact credit cost is on the class before you book, and that is what leaves your wallet.

Work out the month

Which membership fits?

Pick what you mostly do and roughly how often. The arithmetic is the whole answer, so all of it is on screen, including what the same month costs with no membership at all.

What do you do most?
How often?

Yoga runs 15–28 credits a class on hoppir, and 22 is the middle of that band. Each studio sets its own prices, and hoppir adds no surge and no booking fee.

Yoga, about once a week

5 classes × about 22 credits = 110 credits a month

A month is 52 weeks over 12, so about once a week is 4.33 classes, counted as 5, because the long months are the ones a plan has to cover.

Full

Full includes 130 credits for R1 170 a month, 20 credits over, and they roll over for a month. Regular, at 75 credits, would leave you 35 short.

Those 110 credits paid for one class at a time: R1 100. That is less than Full, so on a month that lands exactly there the per-class rail costs less. What the membership buys is the rate, R9.00 a credit against R10, and an allowance that catches the months that run long.

What a month buys

The same allowance, six different months.

A membership is an allowance of credits, so what it is worth in classes depends entirely on what you book. These are the middles of the six published bands, divided into the three larger allowances.

The rest of it

Rolling over, running out, and leaving.

Three questions a credits model always provokes, answered with the numbers the server actually uses.

  • What happens to what you don't use

Unused credits roll over into the next month and no further. Your balance tops out at two months' worth of your plan, and the oldest credits are always the ones spent first, so a quiet month is carried and a very quiet year is not.

Rolls over 1 month · capped at 2 months
  • Running out before the month does

Book the class anyway and pay for that one outright, or start your next month there and then: you pay the plan price, the new allowance arrives immediately, and your renewal date moves to today. Anything unused still rolls over. It is also how you change plan, because there is no separate mid-month switch.

    Once a day at most
  • Cancelling

A class cancelled more than 24 hours out returns your credits, or refunds the payment to the card if you paid for that one class; inside 24 hours it is spent either way. Cancelling the membership itself is free and takes effect at the end of the month you have already paid for, and you keep that month's credits until it ends.

24 hours · no cancellation fee
Questions

Six about the money.

What are credits?

Credits are how classes are priced on hoppir. A membership includes an allowance of them each month, and you spend that allowance at any partner studio. Sessions run from about 10 to 45 credits: recovery like a cold plunge at the bottom, reformer at the top, and most classes between 20 and 30. Each studio sets its own prices, so a peak slot can cost more than a quiet one. hoppir never adds a surge multiplier on top, and the exact cost is shown on the class before you book.

What happens to credits I don't use?

They roll over for one month. Anything left at the end of a month is still there through the next one, so a week away or a quiet month does not burn what your membership included. Your balance is capped at two months' worth, and credits are spent oldest first.

What if I use up my credits before the month ends?

Book the class anyway and pay for that one class by card or Apple Pay: same seat, same price, no wallet involved. Or start your next month now: your new credits arrive right away, your renewal date moves to today, and anything you hadn't used still rolls over for one month. Otherwise your next allowance arrives on your renewal date, as long as your membership is still set to renew and the payment goes through. If you run out most months and you're not on the biggest plan yet, moving up includes more credits at a lower rate per credit, and switching works the same way.

What happens if I cancel?

You keep your membership, and the credits it includes, until the end of the month you have already paid for. Nothing renews after that, there is no cancellation fee, and you can come back whenever you like, or just pay per class in the meantime.

Can I book one class without a membership?

Yes. Every class carries both prices, and the Book button asks which you want to use: credits from your membership, or paying for that one class by card or Apple Pay. A membership works out cheaper per class if you train most weeks; paying class by class needs no membership at all.

What does a studio see about me?

Your booking and your check-in code, and that's it. A studio never sees your email address, your phone number, your credit balance, or where else in the city you train. Enough to run the class, and nothing they didn't need.

hoppır

The whole city’s your gym.

Leave your email and we’ll tell you the day hoppir opens in Cape Town. One membership whose unused credits roll over for a month, or no membership at all, and just pay for the one class.
